Tanya Rice started studying dance at the age of five with her first ballet teacher being an early influence in her growing love for ballet. Early on, she decided to focus all of her attention to The Ballet Arts, attending The Inland Pacific Ballet Academy and was a member of the Classical/Contemporary Dance Department at OCHSA. Tanya was given the opportunity to work with renowned choreographers; Laurence Blake, Luis Fuentes, Jeff Slayton, and Andy Vaca. She performed a principal role in "Gizelle" with Santa Barbara's professional ballet company, State Street West. Tanya spent every summer with The American Ballet Theatre's Summer Intensives and Boston Ballet's Summer Dance Programs, concentrating on ballet, modern, improvisation and choreography.
She is a graduate of the University College @ Santa Barbara with a double BA in Ballet and Business Economics, with an emphasis on Accounting. A member of the UCSB Student Dance Company, she performed all over California with a highlight trip to China!
